Late in the afternoon on Friday, March 6, 2009, we joined the San Diego River Estuary Walk (already in progress) after returning from our Pacific Rocky Shores Trip (San Diego Bird Festival). We saw this female Bufflehead swimming in the estuary. Temperatures were in the upper 60's on this partly cloudy afternoon.
